Rick Baldassin achieved prominence early in his career as Chief Concert Piano Technician for the Utah Symphony Orchestra, Piano Technician for the University of Utah, and Tuning Editor for the Piano Technicians Journal. In 1991, he was awarded the prestigious "Member of Note" award for outstanding service to the piano industry by the Piano Technician's Guild.
