Nordiska is one of the ten most recognized piano brand names in the world. In 1988, the entire Nordiska factory including all machinery, engineering, and most importantly, the Nordiska scale designs, were purchased and moved from Sweden to China. A sub-factory of a major piano company was started, dedicated to manufacturing only Nordiska pianos, in the European Tradition.
